We believe that there is a need to engage with all aspects of contemporary life and culture - promoting the Good News of Jesus into the worlds of media, business, government and community life. Clarion is already involved with people across a spectrum of professions & agencies, encouraging human flourishing & societal change through the transforming power of the christian message.

Clarion at work in society

Establishing a social action project in Luton in partnership with Spurgeon’s Child Care. This saw the development of a befriender scheme which took referrals from the local health authority and Social Services, linking ordinary christians with isolated families who would otherwise never have been contacted with the christian Faith.

Founding a compassion initiative in south Bucks which resulted in the church being the largest provider of parenting support in the county!

Supporting church leaders (through teaching & consultation) in Zimbabwe as they grappled with their response to the Mugabe regime.

Meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, encouraging relief & development links with the UK and appropriate relationships with the christian minority in the country.

Our prayer

is that Clarion will be able to play a role in the issues which affect ordinary people’s lives here & overseas. We continue to have unique openings into this area and pray that God will provide further strategic opportunities.
